With smoke rising from the chimney and a fire burning on the hearth, the cottage is filled with warming, comforting scents. Bottled potions, preserves, and spices line the walls and glint in the firelight. This small but magical space is redolent with the aroma of spiced honey, sharp ginger, and rich nutmeg and clove. Beneath these sweet scents rests a base of firewood and dried herbs which hang from the ceiling beams, creating the coziest of atmospheres.
